Wedding Bells shoutout

Congrats to my dearest sister in law, Ammu, who got hitched yesterday in a beautiful temple ceremony. The bride look abdolutely breathtaking in her mauve and cream saree.
Congratulations, just seem to be such a small word to describe what the event meant to Vicky & I, if you are reading this, we wish many, many years of JOY, BLISS & HAPPINESS!
And yes, the Lord says, "go forth and multiply" :)

Birthday parties

Sad to say but during my time as a kid, there weren't a whole lot of parties to attend, kids that had a party back then usually have cooler parents, mine mmmmm, not so cool.

Nowadays at age 6, kids are already having parties, and thrown at rather cool places. And its a kid's party, where the kids are the main guests and we parents are merely mode of transportation :) were left to mingle while watching a clown act. Not much entertainment for us, and so parents charge at the buffet line with gusto

Here's a few pics from one of Niki's classmates birthday party two weeks back for us to reflect how times have changed!

Mummies United?

As I dropped off Niki at school today, a mum came up to me and asked me if Niki falls ill often, I told her not really Niki might catch cough & the sniffles once in a while like most kids, but she bounces back quite fast, and concerned mum and asked me what I gave her. Concerned mum told me that she's been really tired past couple months because her two kids are constantly ill, and she's losing sleep because of it -- I sympathized with her, and looking at how tired her eyes are, I understood where she's coming from. And although I don't know her well enough to share details about my life, I reckon she's just concerned about her kids, and there's nothing wrong with that.
And so I told her that Niki takes her vitamins daily, and that's about it really.
Yes, mummies, vitamins are very important in a kid's life, don't neglect this aspect, make sure you give them their vits everyday, and lots of water!

35!

I turned 35 yesterday, it's a milestone, yes?
Anyways I feel good about 35, actually I don't mind turning older, I just mind the greys that accompanies the aging process but it's a small price to pay for getting wiser, ahem!
Turning 35 made me realize something, I'm in the middle of my life right now, and I have better get healthy which means healthier living, healthier everything, and why? Because I want to live long enough to see Niki have a family of her own that's why. Self centred thought, it's my life so why the heck can't I be abit self-centred, yes?
I had a blast yesterday, though earlier of the day was dedicated to work, but one can't run away just because one turns older yes? no?
Arm wrangling or not, I finally got honey and Niki to go watch Iron Man 2 with me, my whole agenda was pretty clear, I was there to merely ogle at RDJ, somehow, he's rather sexy, even if he is a tinsy wee bit vertically challenged, noticed the platforms he was wearing anyways the sharp suits by David August made good cover. And what a wonderful way to end the evening. Short of a better word, I'm Happy!
