"ARGH!" Another audit tomorrow! Nothing is DONE!
Just had to get that off my chest!
I've been wanting to blog about my online nic Infinitangel for a long time now and how I coined that nic name,
Once upon a time back in 1996, I had a best friend,RG past tense as you may have noticed, and I really loved her, she was my bestest buddy and my confidant when we were together in college.
We both loved the Smashing Pumpkins, or shall I say the defunct Smashing Pumpkins and RG even has the concert tee! Like the band our friendship is no longer and while we still bump into each other it's just a hi, bye with some light courtesies exchanged, how did we get this way, well that's a long story but let's just say that our friendship was not strong enough to weather a storm. While I still miss our friendship, I no longer mourn for it like I did so many years ago. We've both moved on, for sure I have, with our lives and I hope she's happy in hers, I wish her all the best, and may she find love & trust.
For those who are just wondering, here's some intel about the Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins are a popular American alternative rock band which formed in Chicago in 1988. Although the band has seen several line-up changes, they have consisted of Billy Corgan (vocals/guitar), James Iha (guitar/vocals), D'arcy Wretzky (bass/backup vocals) and Jimmy Chamberlin (drums) for the majority of their recording career.
Considered less influenced by punk rock than many of their contemporaries, the Pumpkins have a diverse, densely layered and guitar-heavy sound, containing elements of gothic rock, heavy metal, dream pop, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, shoegazer-style production and, in later recordings, electronica. The emotional tone of frontman Billy Corgan’s songwriting ranges from angry (“Bullet with Butterfly Wings”), to dour (“Disarm”), to jubilant (“Cherub Rock”).
Having sold more than 25 million records worldwide by 2000, with approximately 18.3 million albums sold in the United States alone as of 2006, the Smashing Pumpkins were one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands of the 1990s, but internal fighting, drug use, and diminishing sales and cultural vitality hampered the band in their later years and led to a 2000 break-up. In April of 2006, the band officially announced that they were reuniting and recording a new album. So far, the only confirmed band members are Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin.
Their last commercial album was Mellon Collie and the Infinite sadness circa 1995-1997, about the same time as when RG & I met. And hence, I took on the nick Infinitangel since 1996.
And now you know something about me!
