Niki's Cake The Chocolate Indulgence, now imagine the fresh white cream on top with Buttercup of PPG !And so we officially celebrated Niki’s birthday last Saturday and everyone we invited turned up in full force and there were kiddies everywhere in fact it was raining kiddies. There was a slight drizzle as well early in the evening, but once we got the party started the skies literally cleared up and we were so thankful. The best thing was both sets of Niki’s grandparents were on hand to celebrate with us, and felt really blessed to have all our loved ones with us. We couldn’t have asked for more!
The set up was excellent, we got a white marquee tent with orange skirtings and we set up 5 round tables for our guests, the tables were lined with white table cloth and we had blue chairs. We added a special touch, with batik style wrapping paper on the table and I had a tea light in the middle. We had square tables for the buffet lines, and I insisted that the caterer used chaffing dish so it looked really presentable and we had 2 round tables for the dessert and salad bar.
Then the highlight of the evening was of course Niki’s birthday song, we got her a 4 inch high Buttercup Chocolate Indulgence cake, and Niki loved it so much that as soon as she blew out her 2 candles, her fingers dugged and she was making holes all over the cake. A bit eewww but it was sooo cute! And Niki even did a little jig once we cut the cake!
The food was also yummy! There was meehoon goreng, nasi lemak with sambaled kerang, sambaled udang, curry puffs, chicken satay, iced syrup limau, and on our end Vicky prepared his specialty bbq chicken wings which was so popular with the guests and we even had a salad bar, a dessert bar and the best was the open bar, ladies had a grand time with the bacardi limon and the guys guzzled on beers and ballantines. Safe to say everyone was pretty happy once the party got into full swing. Ammu and Vicky compiled lots of dance music and everyone was dancing even my dad!
Niki really enjoyed herself with her cousins and the best surprise of all came from Ammu, who choreographed a dance comprising of Yanu, Lei and Darsha to the beat of Dum Machale! Excellent! Sexy moves from the girls and we found out that our little girl can copy sexy moves quite easily. Aiyoh!

As for me, I’m still sore from dancing and sleepy as heck! But I had a wonderful time planning the party and so, so happy that everyone enjoyed themselves and that the party was a hit!
