Harry Potter and Transformers has landed!

Two movies of gigantic proportion and so little time, but..must make time, gonna hit the screens this weekend, can't wait. Heard so much hype about the Transformers movie, gonna wait to be blown away.

On a totally unrelated note, JK Rowling said that the Order of the Phoenix was her favourite book, to me it was the longest!!

Tis' the season to be flu-ey

ai sei .. the whole gang is down with flu, its in season now.

nose all congested, throat all dry and scratchy *cough*

however my mind's clear .. yet don't know what to write coz having writer's block.

one thing tho remember I was telling about Niki's toilet training well, it got jeapordized during the weekend, guess we're to blame! Need to have better follow-through, scout's honour to follow-through with her training this weekend!

until then gonna nurse all of us back to health!

BBQ at Mohan's

Bbq nite on the 7th, when people are getting married, we were busy making merry and stuffing our faces at Mohan's pre-house warming party, yeah we're like that.. any excuse for a drinking session, alkie to the end I guess! Vicky made one heckuva marinated chicken ala mediterranean which was oh so good!

Just some updates here;
1) Niki fell from the lazy boy chair whilst there
2) Vicky drank from a "vase"
3) Vicky has like 1 & 3/4 piece of chicken wing only coz he was busy grilling for us, I on the other hand I had like 3 pieces!
4) And yeah, Vicky and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary ;-) there were literally fire works!!

Chicken Pox jab!

Niki's going for her chicken pox jab today, since she's already going to school, we feel its good to ensure that she's protected from the dreaded poxies. Anyways both Vicky & I have not gotten our poxies yet..instead we took the painless way out .. vaccination! Good or bad I don't know la. Now I wonder if the vaccination has an expiry date, coz we took the jab ages ago! Well gonna ask the good doctor this evening.

Toilet-training

With a lot of what-if's in between.

A couple of months back we walked into Mothercare and found this really cute potty helper, I loved the rubber duck design and so did Niki. Niki calls it Toilet Duck (yeah, like the cleaner ha ha!). And so we told Niki to let us know when she wants to go for her shee-shee and her ka-ka but it has not worked out like we imagined, because she has likened Toilet Duck to more of a toy than a facility and so uses it as and when she likes.

So before I go off track again..ok so you guys know that Niki is going to pre-kindy now, right well the thing is .. we think that her teacher has toilet trained her with an 80% success rate, after 2 days. The thing is all the kids in her class are not wearing diapers and Niki is the only one when we enrolled her 2 days back, I'm guessing peer pressure is at work here?!!?

Yesterday night I put Niki in her diapers as usual for bed but it was pretty dry this morning, instead when she woke up she asked us to put her on her Toilet Duck and she shee-sheed! To us that's a small miracle there!

So I think Niki is about 80% toilet trained as of today!

We are so proud of our Niki, she started her pre-kindy yesterday. Today we sent her to school in her uniform at 8.15am, they've got breakfast ready for all the kiddies, and at the same time we feel really nostalgic, our daughter is a big girl now. And she talks about her teacher a lot, we on the other hand are feeling abit left out right now :-( ..after work gonna go pick her up from school.

Happy Birthday Ammu!

A very happy birthday to Ammu who turns 26, and she wanted a very special bash and her wish was to invite kids from the local orphanages to attend, so during her party she hosted 40 kids from 3 homes around PJ, the kids really enjoyed the food and games provided. To a very special person, happiest birthday, we love you!

My Dad's Solo Exhibition @ Frames Network

The artist Lau Wai Fong is a naturalist painter for more than 40 years. He has a reputation for fine oil paintings, line drawing, desa kampung ( a depiction of rural Malaysia) and rustic kampung and paddy fields sceneries which are prevalent in the Northern Peninsular Malaysia. His lifelong personal collection which be showcased at the Frames Network Art Gallery beginning from the 30th June 2007 for a week.

Blog addict

It's Monday and I am currently blogging from my new office, wonderful to be settled and online again, missed me? Well alot has been going on these past few days..moreover just last Friday was my last day in my ex-office.

Lunch and gifts were dispensed, I shall truly miss those whom that I have come to care dearly for, whereas others not so much.

I am embarking in a total career change, gonna revamp everything, time for change. A lot like my pal Cristal whom from the hospitality industry jumped headlong into the IT world -- truly only she can relate to what I am going through right now. It's all good and I feel good today, afterall it's my first day!! More to tell, on another day till then, yes I have settled in..those who'd like to chat gimme a call lar on my hp! You know the number!

And here's wishing Mohan, Barbara and the kids a wonderful move as they join the KK community. Eh guys, so dinner when?

Wah So Long..

I never blog that is.. that's because I've been super duper busy, why always like that you ask, well that a day in the life of Ms Claudine. Anyway I've got news, for those whom have not yet heard I have resigned from my current company and will be starting work at a new company from the 1st of July, very exciting time ahead indeed!

Ok I've gotta go do handover and stuffs, my last day is tomorrow .. tra la la!

Roadhouse Grill!

We were running around doing some chores last Saturday morning and by mid-morning we were..what else, but totally famished. So like us! And guess what we had, .. steak! and guess what we finished every crumb, and even asked them to tapau their delish buns for us to take away, shameless right!

Fresco Tesco

I've never been a fan of hypermart Tesco, and yup I just got converted yesterday.

We went there for stationary shopping, Me & Vicky went nuts with the stationary shopping and the variety they have there is simply and utterly breathtaking, again here I'm talking about stationary... Omg I'm such a soccer mom type...and now I believe in Tesco! After Tesco, we were hungry so stopped by Noraini's Laksa, I've heard so much about this place so I'm quite excited to try their Laksa and the result was .. their reputation sure precedes them, coz the Asam Laksa and Sarawak Laksa was .. now how shall I decribe it... eermmmm ... it's bleuk! So stick to Laksa Shack and don't go astray!

And yup my parents are in town so it's bizzy, bizzy. bizzy..my dad's gonna have an exhibition of his art pieces in Frames Network Ground Floor of the Hartamas Shopping Centre, so do drop by and have a look at my dad's work! And even better if you decide to pick a piece or two if you're an art fan

A whollotta running

...around that is, exciting times ahead, which has also put alot of things into perspective for me. Life is not as three dimensional as I thought it was, it's more complicated than, hence it is multi-dimensional. Yada-yada-yada, yeah I'm pretty creative with my words *not!* But back to a multi-faceted life, yes it is, happy? hell yeah! I'm finally coming in on my own, thanks to my beloved hub who's always there for me...my baby!! love you.
