The Allson was quite a nice place quite picturesque, lots of greens and smells of it to which I like, the retreat was a big *yawn* but productive no doubt, highlight was when Richard the trainer did with us Qigong exercises, now I must repeat to myself to do it daily and not procrastinate. Qigong is nice and its enjoyable and it feels good once you've done it. It feels so right for a lazy ass like me.

Nothing much except ate alot and now I have to go back starving myself. Food there was wonderful everything tasted soooo nice. Here's the pictures, nothing much happened with me though except that I missed Vicky & Niki like crazy!

Deepavali ..Festival of Lights

Deepavali is just right around the corner,

21 October to be exact..

a day filled with glorious, glorious food, cookies, candy and more food.

Every year we congregate at Vicky's mom's place..this year the tradition of course continues..

And I just learnt from Amma that she baked my favourite cornflour cookies yesterday yippee!

It's always nice that the whole clan can get together and just hangout one whole day and at night we'll light some firecrackers ..the kiddies loves it, and I bet the adults aka the ones lighting it enjoys it even more..

More importantly, it's a day where we all can come together, and when there 's good food to be had, it's always good!

I'm inviting a couple of my old buddies over too, to catch up..

And the thing with Deepavali is it really holds fond memories for me because Niki celebrated her first Deepavali 2 years ago with us, she was only about a month old back then in 2004! And our sweetie will be nearly 2 years old this coming one... !! It's a wonderful feeling..can't wait..

I'm Gonna Miss You Both..very, very much!

I'm going for a Strategic Business Retreat for 3 days and 2 nights from tomorrow in Seremban, and

I'm gonna miss Vicky & Niki so very much.. :-(

It's work and I really don't have any choice..*grinds teeth*

On the bright side Vicky & Niki will join me on Saturday after my retreat thing and we're hopping over to Pt Dickson for the weekend for a "retreat" of our own.

The haze is really getting from bad to worse, and the API level is close to fatal..

I'm not getting my butt out of the office just for lunch and so I ordered Pizza Hut. Felt sorry for the dude that delivered it tho' he didn't have a mask on, I told him to go get one! Am munching on a hawaiian chic personal pan & sipping pepsi, wonderful!

Shopping Up a Storm

Vicky is spent, from shopping that is, we went to klang then head over to kl central, the haze was not very kind as well, and now I have the mother of all sore throats.

But the good thing is I had retail therapy, got myself new cosmetics, & loads of othernew stuff, and shopped in elianto for cosmetics instead of mac, it's way cheaper and its actually not that bad y'know, I've been using their gloss for quite a while now and tho it might not be stilla or dior its pretty fab.

So my new stash from yesterday was

1) a replescent white saree

2) a ruby red hobo style punjabi suit

3) a funky white punjabi suit with sequins

4) new makeup ie. glosses, nail polishes including the it colour for this season noir, a blusher, an eye brow pencil, honey body scrub (for my honey)

5) 3 cool copper earrings

6) a new faux Gucci sunnies

7) Vicky got himself a new ripcurl cap, 2 diesel watches and sunnies too

So all of us girls, we're happy, now all I have to do is look for the right handbag .... hmmmm ...

Anyways its a public holiday tmr, going to 1U with Vicky and I truly want to get him something nice for deepavali. Sometimes I feel so pampered by him, and I know how hard he works to give me all this luxuries, which I take for granted sometimes. It's surprising no?

And I was once worried about our age diff of three years when we first got together.

For this Deepavali, I would like to thank the good Lord for giving me this wonderful person who has lightened up my life in so many, many ways,

Hon, I want to let you know how much I love you, how much I cherish you and how much I appreciate you.. and I'm sorry for not saying it often enough ..and after nearly a decade together, I want to let you know that I love you more now than ever! I love you, baby forever ..

Vicky's new toy!

So we got a new ride, its a fiat coupe 2.0V turbo in pearl silver, me, vicky & niki took it for a spin, and in one word wow! I'm not much of a car enthusiast but I must say this car is impressive! The interior is beautiful, sssooooo beautiful, i cannot tahan man!! and man can the boy run!

Niki is quite taken by it and because its turbo engine it makes this "phew" kind of sound so Niki imitates that, and best thing is Vicky drove me to work today, heehee .. and I left my trusty jeep at home.. dun worry tweet I'll take you out again next Monday!

In the meantime we need to find a name for our new fiat, whatever shall we name him? .... hmmm something to ponder over the weekend, have a good one!

The Day after

...hah, at last no more sleepless nights, I have completed one of my last projects this year,

...in case you are wondering it's the ISO surveillance audit..

...aced it .. and do not have to sweat until 12 months from now..

I've been so super busy lately becoz of the ISO, why coz I'm the MR, DC, CRM, yeah I'm your regular multi-tasker, and have loads of paperwork to complete before yesterday, I was tied up the whole day with the Auditor who spent 3/4 of the day auditing only me coz I'm in charge of most of the elements.. see career sucks sometimes when you are overloaded, I'm now breathing a easier, and managed to get a good night's sleep of relief last night, and I'm back to blogging!! Yay!

Quite uneventful really the past few days, Niki learnt a few new words, now we're just waiting for her to be able to string together a mini sentence, can't wait..!!

And if all goes well, Vicky just scored himself a sweet new ride in the form a .... shheesshh not gonna spoil the surprise ..

House Called

So what have I been doing apart from ranting, working, eating, irritating the heck out of Vicky and saying-ing him back & playing with Niki..I’ve been watching House MD .. episodes after episodes of Season 2! So like I don’t to watch it so slowly on normal AXN anymore..woop dee doo, one thing tho’ it’s made me so ultra paranoid, coz it’s always dealing with some out of this world kind of disease. I have to snap out of it!! Snap! O_o did I just snap a vein? omg! omg! Gotta stop watching House! But can’t I’m hooked how lah! There’s no spoilers here, but I do recommend watching it all at once, marathon like .. so much fun, I have the DVD @ home..anyone wanna borrow?

Apart from that Niki’s getting so much better from her viral infection (thank God!) as have I.

Yesterday went to the Ramadhan bazaar and bought a whole lot of goodies, like roti jala, laksa, meehoon goring, varieties of kuih-muih, popiah and iced lo hon guo drink, stuffed myself until I thought I was gonna explode after not eating thru the whole day, never a good idea to binge after a going hungry the whole day, (I got loads of work and didn’t have time to eat ^_^ ) Have discovered that Niki likes roti jala as well..

Saturday and Sunday

confirm niki got viral infection, according to dr ding

causing her to purge quite often but as of yesterday, it has lessened in volume and is more tangible, so I think that's good news.

Actually moi is also down with the infection, I purged like twice on Saturday, and hibernated at home the whole of Sunday. Niki & I just lazed and slept while we waited for her Daddy to come home to pamper us somemore..watched lots of teevee until our eyes dried out. And watched Ms World later in the night, Ms "Porn Star" Chech Republic won the title, we were rooting for Ms Oz, who was quite well spoken and not to mention hot!

So lazy to get to work this morning, but obligations outweight most thots to just vege in...and the sweetest thing is niki didn't want me to go to work,

My baby's unwell

Niki is sick and mommy & daddy is very worried,
Actually I think this is the first time I’ve seen her so weak,
Usually paracet doesn’t even effect her much but today, she looked so drowsy and unwell..

Tata, Amama and Ammu are very worried too..
Our darling has been under the weather since yesterday,
And she has a fever too right now,
She feels so not right, and I wish I can do something to make her feel better,
poor baby..

She’s trying her best to tell us what’s wrong and we’re trying our best to make her feel comfy .. I feel so hopeless right now.. and to top everything off I’m at work but my mind’s not here ..
I miss her, I want to cuddle up with her, and tell her that it's going to get better soon..

Ring the Alarm

No one knows this except Vicky but I get recurring dreams of indonesians migrant workers (this is not meant to be any form of racism or evs, just that in my dreams they happen to be indonesian workers!) breaking into the house thru the roof and robbing us, and whenever its just me & niki at home I get really nervous, eventho' Vicky told me numerous times that I'm just being paranoid, but the dreams still keep on coming!! can't help it!!

So the solution is Vicky has decided to rig our pad with state of the art hi-tech alarm system & they coming in to install today, so yay! hopefully that'll finally stop the dreams & my paranoia!

Niki's hairstory

Locks-A-Lock Lock Our Goldilocks

Niki's hair is so long by now, by that I mean its longer than it was when we botak-ed her at 6 months which was more than a year ago! When she was born she was blessed with a full head of hair, I knew somehow when she was still in the womb that she'll have hair, that combined with the old wives' tale that if you suffer from indigestion constantly thru the first few months, your baby confirmed got a lot of hair one.. I weigh a healthy 52kg (heh!) now, but the first few months of my pregnancy it dwindled down to only 48kg (which is the ideal weight for supershort me!) coz of the constant throwing up & indigestion that made me swear off food! HHmmmm can i ever reach 48 again? I don't think so, maybe I should start my zone diet again, but arrgghh I love food too much, then how lar how????? Anyway I'm like really swaying from the topic, back to Niki's hair.

But before that did you know that when Niki first arrived via C-section, her eyes were open and looking around when the doctor put her on my chest for warmth, she didn't even cry, she was just lying on me and looking around and I remember thinking to myself wow this is my own little miracle and before I knew what was happening I was crying tears of joy, the feelings I can still remember until today, the feelings of love, warmth & joy all rolled into one. So back to the hair again..

It's quite soft lar, it's straight at the top and at the bottom it curls a bit, you know the kind they call digital perm at the salon, the kind that you pay 300 bucks for, well Niki's hair is like that.. no need to perm wei! Whe its wet it reaches the shoulder blades so quite long lar!

Vicky loves to wash our baby's hair, coz he's damn rajin and I'm not..plus he's a hair person, y'know immaculate coiffed hair at all times, that's my honey and so he is training our little one, whereas I just use a gook of wax and I'm done in less than 15 secs, that's how long I spend on my hair everyday. I call it effortless chic, (aka plain laziness). Rambling again and have truly lost the plot now!

Our Sunday evening!

so like I said we had 3 hours on our own yesterday..

and niki is safely at home..

so we were so excited, like bunnies..

After we dropped off Vicky's mom & her colleague we were left to contemplate where shall we spend our evening, and place must have yummy food, music & drinks..

and since we were at jalan sultan ismail area, we narrowed it down to HRC!

It was fab, we talked, we laughed, we shared food, we had wine, good music, it was perfect.

It's been ages since we get to catch up, and so we held hands, cuddled, snuggled, and just enjoyed each other's company, it was heavenly..

Sunday was Nasi Briyani Day!

Vicky shameless asked his mom to whip up a briyani and chicken sambal lunch on sunday, (after 4 years plus of marriage I'm still hopeless in the kitchen!) but honey bunny doesn't mind right? .... I hope not :-(

and so

all of us plodded over to Vicky's mom's place and stuffed our faces with food!

Afterwhich all of us slept the afternoon away,

Yeah, and so Saturday is slowly but surely repeating itself..

but have you noticed how nice it is to sleep with a full tummy? heeheehee..

Vicky's mom will be attending a shindig in Crown Princess later on in the evening,

We'll be driving her, and then we get to hang out for a bit while we wait, hhhmmmm..

3 hours whatever shall we do wherever shall we go :-) and niki is safe at home with

Ammu so teeheehee we were like a couple of schoolkids sneaking off for an evening of fun.. can't wait!!!!!

Our Saturday was spent at home doing practically nuthin'

We just lazed on the living room carpet, the three of us.. looking up on the ceiling

All zoned out, and of course doing nuthing' like I said.. yeah we're a couple of really lazy

people and we managed to instill that into our not yet 2-year old as well.

Then, and then when it was six peeamm and the weather was nice and cool we went

outside for a little walk with Niki and blew bubbles..

Ate mini m&m's and chickadees (yeah they're back!!)

Let Niki run and up the street a bit she wanted to join the other bigger kids for a game

of footie but unforch she needs to another feet or so to her before she can,

Washed up and went for a nice dinner and came home with 6 new DVDs and watched

2 movies in a row, Niki watched with us and we finally bundled off to bed at 1.00am

Talking about DVDs omg!!! we've got so many unwatched movies u name it we have it ..

all the newest movies in town, Vicky is addicted to buying them, and omg!!! so much to watch

and sooooo little time!! But that night we watched Aishwarya Rai's Mistress of Spices (it was kinda lame but ok-lah) and yay The Devil Wears Prada, I love shallow movies about fashion

but Meryl Streep was wonderful as Miranda Priestley, and Anne Hathaway, after Brokeback Mountain we can only picture her boobies..whadawaste of talent, she still sweet and all that but I think she kinda graduated to adult roles but the transition wasn't that smooth..c'mon she was like Ms Princess Diaries and then suddenly we see her boobies plastered across our screen, it was just too much at too short a time, I mean I'm really not against arty farty films and all that but like I said she could have made the transition to a serious actor in a more smoother manner.

But still the movie was nice and much better than the book!

So that's our Saturday..

We didn't do any productive thru the day

but we had fun, loads of fun..

Had Dinner at Gem's

We had dinner with Vicky's mom, dad & sister at Gem's PJ.

They serve the most delicious ever Northern Indian food..

and they have nice copperware, really took a lot of willpower not to

quietly slip the water tankard in..c'mon I had a large handbag with me

..but no I didn't .. need to set an example for jr.

I had their Chicken set meal and Vicky had the briyani, yum and the aloo ghobi

& the other cream vege dish 000.. it was delicious!

Niki as usual had fun and scored herself a balloon .. yeah she practically get

spoiled everywhere she goes.. !
