A Close Shave

Those that know us knows how much we love Thailand, and how often we visit, I mean whats there not to love, I for one love their clothes, shoes, handbags anything, they also got lots of vintage stuff which I love too. But of recent many knows about the political crisis that the country has been going thru, for those who have not heard, to put a long story short, the Thai people loves the King but truly dislike their PM, Thaksin Shinawatra.
So Vicky was there over the weekend and flew back yesterday morning, by the afternoon the armed forces was already on standby and early this morning, the country has declared a state of emergency as the army has taken over, it's a coup, their first in 15 years.
Here's what in the news today;
Thailand's PM Ousted in Military Coup
BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) -- In the dead of night and without firing a shot, Thailand's military overthrew popularly elected Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra on Tuesday amid mounting criticism that he had undermined democracy.
The sudden, well-orchestrated coup - the first in 15 years and a throwback to an unsettled era in Thailand - was likely to spark both enthusiasm and criticism at home and abroad. The military said it would soon return power to a democratic government but did not say when.
Striking when Thaksin was in New York at the U.N. General Assembly, army commander Gen. Sondhi Boonyaratkalin sent tanks and troops into the drizzly, nighttime streets of Bangkok. The military ringed Thaksin's offices, seized control of television stations and declared a provisional authority loyal to the king.
In his first public appearance since seizing power, Sondhi Wednesday asked for the public's support and declared the coup was necessary to end serious conflicts within Thai society that Thaksin had created.
Delivering a brief television address in front of giant portraits of Thailand's king and queen, Sondhi said the coup leaders had no intention of retaining power. He was flanked by chiefs of the three armed services and the head of the national police.
The coup leaders declared martial law, revoked the constitution and ordered all troops not to leave duty stations without permission from their commanders. The stock exchange was to be closed Wednesday, along with schools, banks and government offices.
Bangkok's normally bustling streets emptied out early Wednesday, from shopping stalls to red light districts, as Thais and tourists learned of the coup.
Across the capital, Thais who trickled out onto barren streets welcomed the surprise turn of events as a necessary climax to months of demands for Thaksin to resign amid allegations of corruption, electoral skullduggery and a worsening Muslim insurgency. Many people were surprised, but few in Bangkok seemed disappointed.
A few dozen people raced over to the prime minister's office to take pictures of tanks surrounding the area. "This is exciting. Someone had to do this. It's the right thing," said Somboon Sukheviriya, 45, software developer snapping pictures of the armored vehicles with his cell phone.
The U.S. State Department said it was uneasy about the military takeover and hopes political differences can be resolved through democratic principles. "We are monitoring the situation with concern," a statement said. "We continue to hope that the Thai people will resolve their political differences in accord with democratic principles and the rule of law."
Australia used stronger language, saying it was concerned to see democracy "destroyed."
"We deeply regret the fact that such a coup has taken place; obviously to see democracy destroyed in that way is a matter for grave concern to us," Foreign Minister Alexander Downer told Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio by telephone from New York.
Thaksin recently alienated a segment of the military by claiming senior officers had tried to assassinate him in a failed bombing attempt. He also attempted to remove officers loyal to Sondhi from key positions.
Sondhi, who is known to be close to Thailand's revered constitutional monarch, will serve as acting prime minister, army spokesman Col. Akarat Chitroj said. Sondhi, well-regarded within the military, is a Muslim in this Buddhist-dominated nation.
Sondhi, 59, was selected last year to head the army partly because it was felt he could better deal with the Muslim insurgency in southern Thailand, where 1,700 people have been killed since 2004. Recently, Sondhi urged negotiations with the separatists in contrast to Thaksin's hard-fisted approach. Many analysts have said that with Thaksin in power, peace in the south was unlikely.
In New York, Thaksin declared a state of emergency in an audio statement via a government-owned TV station in Bangkok - a vain attempt to stave off the coup. He later canceled a scheduled address to the U.N. General Assembly.
A Foreign Ministry official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said Thaksin tentatively planned to return to Thailand quickly. The official said he could not comment on the possibility of his being arrested if he returned.
Government spokesman Surapong Suebwonglee, who was with Thaksin, said the coup leaders "cannot succeed" and was confident they would fail "because democracy in Thailand has developed to some ... measure of maturity."
However, Sondhi's troops appeared to be in full control and clearly enjoyed the support of the monarch.
Former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai, a member of the opposition Democrat Party, reflected an ambivalence that is likely to surface in coming days.
"As politicians, we do not support any kind of coup, but during the past five years the government of Thaksin created several conditions that forced the military to stage the coup. Thaksin has caused the crisis in the country," he told The Associated Press.
Thaksin, a telecommunications tycoon turned politician, handily won three general elections since coming to power in 2001 and garnered great support among the rural poor for his populist policies.
But he alienated the urban middle class, intellectuals and pro-democracy activists. They began mass street demonstrations late last year, charging Thaksin with abuse of power, corruption and emasculation of the country's democratic institutions, including what was once one of Asia's freest presses.
Some of Thaksin's critics wanted to jettison his policies promoting privatization, free trade agreements and CEO-style administration.
"I don't agree with the coup, but now that they've done it, I support it because Thaksin has refused to resign from his position," said Sasiprapha Chantawong, a university student. "Allowing Thaksin to carry on will ruin the country more than this. The reputation of the country may be somewhat damaged, but it's better than letting Thaksin stay in power."
He was among hundreds of people gathered at Government House taking photos and video of themselves with the tanks.
Initially, the coup went largely unnoticed in Thailand's popular tourist districts, where foreigners packed bars and cabarets oblivious to the activity about two miles away. But word raced among street vendors hawking T-shirts who packed up their carts quickly and started heading home.
As troops secured key sites in the capital unopposed, the coup leaders declared that a Council of Administrative Reform with King Bhumibol Adulyadej as head of state had seized power in Bangkok and nearby provinces without any resistance. They did not say what reforms the council would carry out.
Early Wednesday, the coup leaders announced that the appointment of the country's four regional army commanders to keep the peace and run civil administration in their respective areas outside Bangkok.
A senior army general, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, said the chiefs of the army, navy and air force met with the king Tuesday to discuss formation of an interim government.
Bhumibol, a 78-year-old constitutional monarch with limited powers, has used his prestige to pressure opposing parties to compromise during political crises. He is credited with helping keep Thailand more stable than many of its Southeast Asian neighbors.
He is the world's longest-serving monarch and celebrated his 60th year on the throne with lavish festivities in June that were attended by royalty from around the world.
The bloodless coup was the first overt military intervention in the Thai political scene since 1991, when Suchinda Kraprayoon, a military general, toppled a civilian government in a bloodless takeover. An attempt by Suchinda to keep power led to street demonstrations, and he was ousted in 1992.
Afterward, the military promised to remain in its barracks, in contrast to earlier decades when military coups were a staple of Thai politics.
As recently as March, Sondhi, the army chief and Tuesday's coup leader, sought to ease speculation the military might join the political fray during street demonstrations against Thaksin.
"The army will not get involved in the political conflict. Political troubles should be resolved by politicians," Sondhi said then. "Military coups are a thing of the past."
So I'm so happy Vicky managed to get back here safely.
And I hope King Bhumipol steps in, and makes the whole situation better, the people of Thailand has the highest respect for him, they love and rever him, one of the longest reigning monarch in this day and time.
So no matter how much I love Thailand, I guess Malaysia shall always be our home.

Just two days ago, we started teaching Niki how to drink from a cup, she does ok la considering, spillage was to be expected but surprisingly not much, which is a good thing. I was standing by with a rag, Vicky was in standby mode to catch the cup should it inadvertedly slip from her nimble hands.

Alor Star Now

I've been so super busy lately, that's why I haven't been posting regularly..
Coz I'm a blog addict, so if I have been laying off then that means I'm super duper busy @ work, which is drats!
Ah how I wish I was back in Alor Star again, being back in my kampung was super glorious..
did you know that roti canai there is only 60 cents, wan than mee is only RM1.80, unbelievable, yeah you better believe it.. that's Alor Star for you..
And being in the home I grew up brought back so much fond memories, it's typical kampung as in you wake up to the sound of chickens, etc..my dad & mom recently renovated and the place, so now there's q lot of space for them to do their thing..and they have even installed ana alarm system called Ang's Alarm, heeheehee I like the name, the reason for the alarm was several weeks ago our immediate neighbour's home was broken into by a couple of burglars, so my parents now are seriously paranoid, can't blame them really..and the police does their rounds in the neighbourhood too in their squad car.. I mean AS is still much more saver than KL can ever be, but shizz does happen too once in a while..
The best thing was Niki got to bond with her other set of grandparents, and my mom & dad really dotted on the cheeky tot.. so Niki was treated like a princess, tell me when is she not?
And Niki got to play with my parent's doggy too, my parents own a mini pincher named scooby, and u know what niki can immitate scooby's bark pretty well, she sounds like a pincher too.. and can call scooby by name..
it's nice bringing her back to my kampung..I hope to take her again soon, and vicky & i can indulge in our laksa lemak craving in wah tua guan, only RM3 and the tong sui ie. lo hon guo with gingko is only RM2 and is superb!!!!!!
And yeah if you remember blogging about Old Time Cafe, well it's actually Old Tune Cafe, a really nice place and the decor is really authentic, wonderful zen-like ambience on the way in, and the makan place is really comfy and truly nyonya chinese. Their specialty is duck, which we tried, which was heavenly you gotta taste it to really savour it.. yum, really succelent and the sauce omg!!!!!! Only RM14 for half a bird, and the best thing is the duck is prepared in-house, we found out when we took a tour of the 2nd floor and there's a patio where all the ducks were hung after being grilled (i think, that's the process). And the chop suey, yum! Truly yum! Only RM3 for a med bowl..can pengsan right the prices..
Ah how I miss the food, food here kinda suck!
Well I gotta go back to work now.. my boss in on the way back ..dang _ _

JT's Sexyback Vid

p.s.we'll be in AS

All of us being vicky, niki & moi and Aunty Daphne too, will be heading to AS for the Merdeka weekend. Asam Laksa & Otak-Otak here we come!!!
Yes, that's what we do..we eat..and eat..My mom told me that Old Time Cafe is longer a frou-frou type of establishment and has now downgraded the outfit to a kopitiam style glutton hound. All the beauty of eating al-fresco and kow kopi-peng & of course perhaps wonderfully yummy o-chien? Dunno, have to wait and see, and eat before I can give comments..
Yay, road trip... la dee da!
The pic above is the Alor Star telco tower, Vicky's always teasing me about it..but did you know it's the second tallest in Malaysia after the KL Tower and the 19th tallest one in the world, well did cha, did cha? Hey I'm proud of my kampung, y'know and Happy Merdeka everyone.

Sunday morning!

Posted by Picasa
Saturday sucked so we made sure Sunday rocked!
We woke up about 8.30am, actually it was more like Niki woke us up at 8.30,
so all of us got ready in our chillex togs and headed to a roti canai breakfast at the nearby maks.
After a very satisfying morning chow we went to Bukit Raja Mall.
I haven't been there since before Niki came along, but I kinda liked the place
So much nicer than Midvalley & 1U which is usually so full of ppl and getting parking is usually huge pain!
Had a great time just walking around and shopping, then went to this deli place for lunch.
Niki had mash, Vicky had grilled chic and I had grilled sandwich, it was yummy!
Entered Niki in her first ever baby pic competition, that's the one where she's seated in the white high chair. And just about half an hour before I untied her hair and let it all hang! hehehehe .. So Niki's hair is all like mengerbang! cute lar.. all in good fun tho' ..
After that we headed home not 2 minutes into the journey homer our darling passed out from exhaustion!
Went home did nothing, watched The Break-Up and ate hokkien mee for dinner, so Sunday was totally Sunday! I thank God for His wonderful grace everyday, and for my family whom I love so much.

Saturday at the Golden Bull Gala Dinner

Posted by Picasa
That's where I was Saturday, which is a total waste of a good Saturday evening, I wished I could have spent it with Vicky & Niki instead, I had to attend this gala dinner thingy at the PWTC. GOH was Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy which is the minister of transportation, he sure what headline grabbing coz earlier he was in the papers telling Airasia and MAS to buck up! The dinner was supposed to be a corporatey thing but the night's entertainment was more of a cabaret show! Which was totally unsuitable for the occassion.
By the time it finished it was nearly midnight and by the time I got home my baby was already sleeping soundly. I always tucked her in at night and I felt really rotten coz I didn't get to do it last Saturday. Mommy missed you so much! And Mommy & Daddy made up for it the next day!

It's a rainy Friday evening

waiting for Vicky to come pick me from the office right now..
it's raining outside, heard half of KL is flooded and the jam
is horrendous..
ah, so what's new ??!!??
My eye is feeling a bit itchy, hope it's not an infection..gosh!
I pray it's not an infection coz that'll ruin our plans!!!
I for the life of me do not understand why would a person still
go to work when they know full well they have conjunctivitis..
what is wrong with them, don't they know it's contagious!!
I met with someone like that this morning coz I needed to pick
something up! dang that world-class bozo!
Can't wait for Vicky & Niki to get here....can't wait for the weekend..

Just My Luck

Saw it over the weekend, coz I needed some bubblegum movie..
Ok-lar it's a Llo vehicle, Chris Pine is cute tho' but a bit different
from when he was in The Fantastic 4 hhhmmm...
Loved the outfits & shoes that Lindsay was wearing tho' & ah the jimmy choo's are so so
cool!

What Drives You..

Posted by Picasa
..coz Niki drives us..
..ya she sure loves to drive..or pretend that she knows how to drive..
..she can know how to signal left and right, she knows how to use the wipers..
..operate the radio etc, I think I'll teach her how to drive once she's old enough..
or tall enough..
..one thing tho' that we need to be careful about is that she knows how to auto lock the car too..
..but then she knows how to undo the auto as well ..but careful we must..
..just imagine if she accidentally locks herself in !!!!! not funny..
..it's fun to let your kiddies play car but we still need to ensure proper supervision..

Tokyo Drift

I finally had the time to watch Tokyo Drift last night,
it's surprising better than TFATF 2! I kinda dig it..
And yeah Skylines and V8s are cool..
Drifting tho' still kinda look a bit loopy to me..
Especially when there was this romantic scene
between Neela and Sean at the mountain side..
Kinda chessy..but's that's me..
Overall, it was a really uber-cool movie, nice tracks

Time-A-Wasting and Work-A-Piling

It's only Tuesday morning..and..
Yup, I'm officially drowning there's just soooo much to do at work that I have no time whatsoever to blog, I have tenders due left, right and middle, deadlines to meet, press-op to prepare, ISO to get ready for, etc! I'm gonna go bonkers! I have only two hands and my brain has decided to do a downtime!

McD's collages

 Posted by Picasa

McDonald's

So it was just me & niki thru the weekend, it was so much fun, we did loads of stuffs together..
in my context loads of stuffs means "hanging out, watching tv & eating "healthy" junk food!..
i fixed all our meals breakfast, lunch & dinner.
After eating soooo much home prepared food me & niki were feeling a bit peckish and went out for tea time yesterday..
teatime at mcd's i'm sure you've noticed that they have that 3-ringgit promo from 3-6pm, so had one of those that came with nuggets.. oh did i mention that niki can say mcdonald's ??!!?? she can't say mommy properly yet but she sure can say mcdonald's well
teeheehee .. n we sorta drank a lot of coke as well, which we shouldn't be becoz of it super high sugar content .. that & the pledge that i made not to drink coke anymore, but have you ever noticed how the cokes in mcd's are so much nicer than the ones that they sell outside..? yeah that's what I'm talking about.. dang those things!
It was so much fun as well, we really hung out..niki was enjoying her fries and nuggets and occassional sips/gulps of cokes..
so i'm really thanksful for this weekend..it was slow and nice..
n i got to hang with my princess.. totally priceless..

Spending time

Posted by Picasa Our girl, Niki
Yesterday, Vicky pointed something out to me, something that I failed to see if it was not for him. I was in fact spending more time cleaning after Niki and paid more attention to the things around her instead of her. So true!
And so I from today will make a concerted effort to do exactly vice-versa, that is to pay more attention to her than the stuffs surrounding her.
So what if our floors were a bit grimy..
So what if there's some dust on our furniture..
So what if Niki's high chair has a piece of noodle stuck to it..
I should relax a bit on the hygiene and pay more attention to HER!
Funny how sometimes we can get all caught up on taking care of household stuffs..
Funny how sometimes we can put work in front of family..
Funny how sometimes we forget that the most important thing in life is to spend it with our loved ones..
And how just abit of advice from someone you love can jolt you back into reality just like that and makes you realize all your faults before its too late and before it bites you on your ass..
Niki is growing up so fast right before our eyes..

New Makan Place in KK

There's another new eatery in KK, this one specialises in "Pan Mein" or Mee Papan in Malay? That's what on its signboard, ok. The place has a Chinese name I can't read it but it sure looks like ET, so I'm gonna call it ET.. went there for dinner yesterday
Quite yum, we tried the Fried Chee Cheong Fun and Fried Carrot Cake, food's quite ok and it's RM 5 per serving so pretty decent, we ordered for Niki seafood porridge (with very generous seafood inside) & we also ordered dessert in the form of Bubur Hijau and for drinks ordered their house specialty of chrysanthemum tea & lo hon guo..not bad got some ginseng roots and all. Came to RM21 for the whole meal for dinner in KK ! Shocking!!
The place had chinese style decor but very tastefully done see pix lar then you'll know what I mean..
Like it and may go back again tomorrow..hooked!

Where I Went for the Past 3 Days

This has been the longest that I went without blogging I must say that blogging is so addictive that I was suffering some feelings of loss coz I wasn't able to blog.
So where was I?
I was at the PM Department's Security Office having an exhibition..
It was a bit boring coz I'm spoilt, the venues that I usually exhibit at are a bit more hi-tech
ie the KL Convention Centre..
So I was at Parcel D Block D8, exhibiting my company's products and I was
really wishing I was a government servant, why becoz if I was this will be my typical week..
Total work hours per week : 10, I'll be working for an average of 2 hours a day, and the rest will be spent eating, chatting & surfing the net.
Total hours spent at cafetaria : 30 (since there's 2 teabreaks and a lunch)
I tell you they really have got it made, lush green surroundings, huge under utilized spaces, even day care!
I envy them!

We had a nothing to do weekend.
Which was well-deserved coz' its been too hectic lately.
And we have another thingy coming up soon
Which is Niki's 2nd birthday.
So much things to do and so little time to do 'em.
Vicky and I just hung out a lot past weekend.
We thot of doing a Lost marathon but it
seems really pointless since we "accidentally"
watched the season finale.
Gonna watch House tonight! Season 2 premiers!
We're couple of couch potatoes aren't we?

Pediasure is a No Go

Well we discovered that Niki's body doesn't like pediasure and is reacting to the formula,
not so serious, just that we noticed that there's some rash and constipation.
So Vicky decided that pediasure is a no-go for our baby and we shall stick to bebelac ec.
Today is officially the weekend and I'm in the office for half day, shheeessshh!

Breakfast on the go!

hot crossed bun

bunny

baby bunny

Today had breakfast in the jeep.
Buns and strawberry milk
Niki had some of the bun too.
And today marks the day where
we start her on vanilla pediasure
I noticed that the milk has special
care esp. for kids with lactose intolerent condition
keeping our fingers crossed that Niki will find the
milk suitable

She's currently on Bebelac EC, but I think the milk
may not be able to cater for her growing needs since
she has officially entered toddlerhood. Will have
to

see then folks keep y'all updated.

What is it with Girls & Handbags

I love handbags, I absolutely love them.
Yeah I'm shallow that way, my ultimate weakness is handbags.
One of the reasons whay we agreed to get a built in cabinets is due to my burgeoning handbags collection.
And I added another 2 new ones during our trip to Phuket, and one of them is the cult fave tho' slightly last season.. Balenciaga Le Dix Motorcycle in Metallic red, tho' faux *points finger up!!* but it did cost an arm and a leg too y'know. So I'm still on a high.
I had to give away a few and threw a few out coz I can't afford the space for all of it.
And so I hope Niki one day takes after me, pretty shallow but what the heck.

Perhaps me & Niki can go window shopping for shoes and bags,
and after that we can go for afternoon tea .. soon I hope.
And I think blogs should also come with a spell check coz my spelling can be atrocious most times!

Our Phuket trip

One word, actually two words..super fun!
We had so so much fun as a family & it's the first family deal we've done in a while,
Vicky is really happy that he took his mom, dad & sister to phuket.
I was happy coz I get to hang with Niki & Vicky and of course my one and only beloved sister Daphne,
We flew Air Asia but we get to enjoy their new fleet of A380 so it wasn't so bad..everything was digital and electronic as compared to the old 737-400.
We stayed at the royal paradise, the newly built royal wing deluxe rooms
they gave us VIP treatment, with fruit baskets and flowers in our rooms when we arrived. The hotel was beautiful, nice pool area, the pictures doesn't do it justice I recommend staying there if you were in phuket, one small thing tho' it's located very near the popular gay district. Loads of boy bars etc, we were amused actually. Lots of kwai los hooking up with young thai boys but if you can look past that then by all means stay at the royal paradise. The room had minimalistic contemporary thai deco, beds elevated by platforms. Wonderfully terracota bath, with a separate glass shower cubicle. Grohe accessories, nice Cotto tub and wash basins .. Tub able to fit 2 people nicely (hehehee .. *tongue in cheek*)
Niki loved the pool area, she was in the pool 3 days in a row. Got a nice tan to show for it. Vicky dranked only beer through our stay coz it was dirt cheap..RM5 for bottle of Heineken. Munched only on Lays no Cottage Fries for us man!
Shopped at Soi Bangla and the O-Top Bazaar in Patong beach..several rounds..but stuffs are basicly more expensive here as compared to BKK so didn't buy much .. just got myself 2 handbags, 2 tees, accessories, a pair of flip flops which came to a whopping RM300! Told you it was expensive top shop there I could have easily doubled the quantity of my puchase in BKK, but then that's BKK.
On Sunday night went to this place called the Port which served seafood, wonderful ambience albeit a bit packed, most happening evening dining area it seems, but food was yum, had lobster, lobster and more lobster. Red snapper steamed ala Thai, crabs, loads of beer all around. 2 live bands and a waiter performed a fire eating, fire blowing show. Impressive yeah. Vicky belanja.. :-)
Managed to my all time fave Pad Thai, we ordered room service one night coz we just wanted to stay in..for RM11 per serving it was ample and delicious! Couldn't ask for more. But if I go back to Phuket next time I think I'll stay at the Grand Tropicana or maybe return to Holiday Inn.
Wonderful trip, excellent company and a whole lot of fun! Couldn't ask for more!

Niki Converses

Teeheehee .. oh happy day,
Niki at 20 months now on her bed,
remember my bed post, well here's a pic of her on the bed..
Niki can now sorta talk,
She can say her name when you ask her..
"What is your name" you ask
"Neekeetaa.." she will reply
"How old are you"
"Twoooo" well more or less right, I can't teach her twentymonths that will take a long, long time..
"What do you like to eat?"
"Kichen" that chicken..
or she'll say
"Pok" .. well you know what that is ..
She knows her fruits too.. like "apple" orange"
and of course she know "chupee" that's a nick for her pacifier
and "blanky" for her much loved blanket.
I know .. cuteness overload lar she!

After Lunch...

What do you do,
in my case,
I'll usually be having dessert..
and today's dessert is chocolate walnut brownie from secret recipe.. :-)
I was telling Vicky yesterday that when I was younger and in school I loved to read..
not that I don't now, it's just that I really can't find the time to..
The last book I read was Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, I'm currently reading Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series..and enjoying it.. coz I can relate..
Apart from reading I also loved to compose short poems, long poems, emo poems, u get the drift..now I can't even write in a grammatically correct manner..
I also loved to doodle, sketch etc...lots of old school stuff..
But now, I don't even come close to doing any of these..
When you grow up and get into the rat race, does it mean that with a job, less time for yourself & piling responsibilities equals character degradation? I think so.
So what do you do about it..
You eat your cake, in my case my brownie and get on with work.
I need to focus on getting quality back into my life..

Of beds and rolling off it

Once upon a time, Niki slept in her baby cot, she slept in it since she was the littlest baby. Her baby cot is the absolute cutest, we bought it ready for her about 2 months before she arrived. And we use to look at it, talked and really looked forward to the time when we can see our baby girl sleep in it. When she finally arrive, it was perfect for her..
Soon as petite as she was she outgrew her cot and it was giving her claustrophobia and she began to drop hints that she wanted to sleep in our bed. Hints like waking up at night with hands outstretched and pointing to our bed, which was really not a hint right..
Of course for a few nights we ignored it lar but at last we relented and let her sleep with us but it got to be so crowded (afterall 3 of us in a queen sized bed, that's stretching it) so much so that I really had problems sleeping coz I didn't have enough space to even turn, and of course we were really worried that we might suffocate the little chipmunk.
So we realized that we really have to settle this problem before;
i) I myself roll off and fall out of the bed
2) We both start looking like pandas due to lack of sleep (that's Vicky & me, Niki usually just occupies most of the bed)
3) Vicky sleeping position was so permanent the whole night with his legs hanging out on the side (poor thing!)..
4) Nki got to comfortable sleeping with us!!!!
And so we trotted out and bought her a single roll out bed all for herself, bedding stuffs from Ikea and the duvet set from Aussino, we wanted it to be super comfortable & of course attractively multi-colored so that she would actually love sleeping on her own bed..and guess what.......
..
..
..
..
She absolutely loves her bed!! Mommy likes it too!
Mission accomplished, Mommy & Daddy has finally got enough shut eye, and Niki has been sleeping in her own bed for nearly 2 months now! Yesterday night we tucked her in as usual but in the middle of the night we heard a small cry, followed by a few sniffs..Niki accidentally rolled of her bed onto the carpeted floor, and we thank God that hers is a roll out bed so there's really no impact of rolling of at all but because she's a little princess of course she complained, well I just lifted her off and tucked her in again and slept off in seconds.
Hopefully by this time next year after we finish decorating her room she'll be ready to move out from ours heehehehehehe and get her own private room. Till then we're still roomies. Three's company!
